Good news! The correct part arrived and was installed, test driven, paid for and we were gone by 9:15ish.
We drove south on Highway 101, stopped for just a couple more pictures of the Haystack Rock and at several other lookouts along the way. We decided the Harborview Inn & RV Park right on the harbours edge of the Port of Garibaldi , which is the largest bay along the Oregon Coast line.
We got ourselves set up, twice! Pulled into the wrong spot first, had to pull in slides, raise the legs and move over one space! Now, what’s that a sign of!
Anyway, took off for Cape Meares on the point of Tillamook Bay, Oceanside , Netarts on the Pacific and back to the town of Tillamook to visit the cheese factory. We have bought the Tillamook Cheese at Costco many times so it was really interesting to see their production line. We are really glad we did not stay at Bay City just 5 miles south of here, what a smell from the Oyster plant. We passed through several areas with really strong smells. The US Coast Guard Station is about 150 feet from us, their boats and helicopter pad plus there has been an ambulance out there all afternoon. Was a boating accident this afternoon, two boats overturned and two people died, only one survived, so lots of activity!
We met neighbours, Mike & Carla and went out for supper with them last night. We came back and sat outside around the fireplace and talked till one in the morning. So I’m a little slow today. It’s been an overcast dull day, so it was a good one to just lay low.
Tomorrow’s weather is calling for more of the same, but, we’ll head out to Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda .
Hugs
