Infinity on the road: Feb 14th to February 17th (Las Cruces, NM)

Our final Yuma Happy Hour get together was great and gave us a chance to say goodbye to our landlords Blake and Karen. Blake gave me a long stem red rose for Valentine’s Day.

Tuesday we were packed and on the road by 9:30, stopped in Gila Bend for lunch and arrived in Casa Grande at the Buena Tierra Park about 2:30. Called Patsy and Gary and were able to get together with them for a good visit and supper at Chili’s. See you guys in May!

Wednesday, we left Casa Grande for Deming, New Mexico (280 miles), stopping in Tucson at the Camping World; for lunch on route; got gas for $3.07 and arrived at Wal-Mart at about 2:30. Stocked up on much needed groceries; bought a cooked chicken, coleslaw and potato salad and had supper at Carol and Larry’s because they have an inverter!!! No internet in the Walmart parking lot!!! Not good.

Thursday, we left Deming at 8:30 and drove only 60 miles to Las Cruces, New Mexico. We were able to get set up at the Coachlight RV Park and then went to the White Sands National Monument, some 275 square miles of white gypsum sand. We made sandwiches for lunch and enjoyed our picnic there, with a temperature of 69. It was our second visit and Carol & Larry’s first. Got back around 3:00 and managed to get our long overdue laundry done. (It’s a windy sunny 74 degrees this afternoon)

Friday, we are planning to get to Fort Stockton (Hwy #10), but might get farther, just don’t know yet! We hope to be in San Antonio TX by Saturday!
