Sept. 30 Thursday – 30 days on the road!

Was a lovely sunny day again today!  B got out for a 2-3 hour bike ride, while I relaxed doing my girly stuff, then walked in town and did a little shopping.  One store was much the same as the other store.  But, the Bakery had some good stuff so settled on treats to bring home. 

We left around 1:00 for Cape Disappointment and the Lighthouse.  That walk really worked yesterday’s kinks out. The view was awesome of the Columbia River where it meets the Pacific Ocean.  From there we drove along the Columbia River to the Port of Ilwaco, which has a big fish processing plant and a beautiful harbour boardwalk, where we found a nice restaurant for an afternoon drink and snack. We drove Highway 101 to the bridge to Astoria, Oregon, but decided not to cross (that is for Monday), so continued along Highway 401 and back into Long Beach by that route.

The temperature went up to 83 today, so we are just a little warm this evening!  BUT we are not complaining! 

Tonight at 6:45 we walked really fast to the beach to catch the sunset.  Was awesome and helped work of supper. 

We have a mechanic coming Friday morning at 10 to look at the bus.
