Day 7 or September 7th

We were up and on the road this sunny morning at 8:15 Mountain time arriving safe and sound in Billings, Montana at 4:30pm. We are staying at the Billings KOA which is the very first KOA ever!! Billings is 418 miles from Bismarck (a little farther along than we had planned) and Billings is 1780 miles from Ottawa. It was a good driving day, with the sun out and very little wind, however, eastern Montana is a bit boring to drive through. Just one cattle grazing field after another.

We’ll stay 1 night stay here then travel to Gardiner, Montana for a few days. From Gardiner we will be able to us the car to enter the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We will be in elevations of 10,000+ feet, so are expecting colder temperatures. But, one must see Old Faithful and the many geyser basins along the way. Plus we have do decide about the Grand Teton National Park, but, that’s another day.
