Sept. 29, Wednesday

Was a lovely sunny day!  We jumped on the bikes and headed for the paved 8 mile beach trail.  We had a great ride out but didn’t realize we really had a strong wind at our back.  So the 8 mile return trip was pure hell!  I needed to stretch out on the bed for a ½ hour before I could even think straight again.  Guess I am a little out of shape!  After lunch we jumped in the car and drove Highway 103 to the north end of the peninsula through Klipsan Beach, Ocean Park, and Surfside Estates to Leadbetter Point.  We went to the State Park and did the 1 ½ mile loop walking trail.  I have had enough exercise for one day, thank you!  Drove back the
Peninsula Highway
and have now seen most of the places to the north of Long Beach. Tomorrow our drive will take us south.
We picked up the spark plug wires and have them installed, but will not know if all is well till we drive off.  Going to check with the local garage to see if they could have a look, if we need them!
By 4:30 the fog had moved over the area and the temperature took a nose dive to 58 from 67, but, tomorrow and for the next several days still sound warm and sunny.
