Sept. 22, Wednesday Night

We got the bus into the Valley Truck Service Center in Mount Vernon, and then left for our sight seeing tour of the islands.  We headed back up to Highway #20 and went out to Anacortes on Fidalgo Island.  Toured the town, Washington Park, 220 acre loop road, and took pictures of San Juan Islands, Mt. Baker and Puget Sound. Onward to the Deception Pass, Oak Harbour, and the Keystone Ferry port and lunch in The Keystone Café.  (good place) By now we are on Whidbey Island where the latest human foot was found (without a running show).  So we did not venture to far off on our own. We then continue on down island, taking the #525, but cutting off at Smugglers Cove route  and back up through Freeland, Bayview and into Clinton-Mukilteo ferry crossing.  We were very surprised at the car price, $8.75 for a 5 minute crossing. Once back to the mainland, we headed for Highway 9 straight north and back to the Valley Truck Center. (I-5 is for another day)  Our motorhome sits there tonight, with all 6 wheels off and the parts on order and to arrive tomorrow!
We collected overnight stuff and headed to the Best Western Hotel which offers discounts to the Valley Truck Centre customers; had a great supper at a local restaurant that was within walking distance and are now ready to crash for the night!
Don’t have any idea about tomorrow!
