Happy Birthday Mom, I tried to get you a balloon all day.

We didn’t leave Coeur D’Alene till 11:45, by then the rain had stopped and we didn’t have far to go.  However, driving through Spokane we decided it was just another big city and we motored right on through.  We decided to head out Highway #2, then a little north to Grand Coulee Dam.  Turned out we drove 140 miles instead of 30!  We are in the Grand Coulee RV Park way up on the side of the mountain, with a great view of the Columbia River.  Tonight we went out for supper and then attended the laser light show at the dam.  They let the water flow completely over the whole dam, which turned it into a wall of white, so that the light show would stand out.  It was pretty impressive! 

Tomorrow it’s off to Chelan and the Lakeview RV Park….
